Alex  has performed with many professional ensembles, opera companies, orchestras and combos.   As well as the the Eastman Jazz Ensembles, Eastman Wind Ensemble and Philharmonia and the Jazz, Salsa, and Wind Ensembles and combos at the University of Miami.

He continues to perform as a free-lance musician.

 Alex is a highly sought after clinician and adjudicator. He has performed at many clinics, judged or worked with region and all state jazz ensembles in Texas, Arizona, Oklahoma and Costa Rica.

Mr. Parker also serves as the Director and Coordinator of the Summer Music Camps at Baylor University, which are considered some of the finest summer music camps in the country.

His jazz and studio orchestra writing has been performed by many different groups around the country including the Harrisburg Symphony, the US Air Force Band in Washington, DC and collegiate ensembles around the country.

He is also the editor of the Texas All-State Jazz Etudes.
